Ballina is located on the far north coast of New South Wales, just 30km south of Byron Bay. It is situated at the mouth of the Richmond Riverand boasts some of the most beautiful surfing beaches and stunning headlands on Australia’s east coast. Humpback whales migrate between June and October, and provide plenty of opportunities for some awesome whale-watching. You can also see dolphins at playing offshore. The bushland is full of native flora and fauna including echidnas, lizards, frogs, wallabies and birds.
